Small Town Evangelism exists to make Christ known to the lost and dying world, with the intention of God working in their heart and drawing them into a saving relationship with Himself. Present a biblically accurate presentation of the Law and Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Ministry Opportunities:
Looking to God as my leading, strength, and source to effectively outreach to those whom He wants me to reach, I will use the following tasks, events, and activities to fulfill my focus of making Christ known to the lost world.
Outreach and evangelism at abortion clinics, festivals, flea markets, sporting events, Colleges and Universities, and many other things which give me the opportunity to present the law and gospel to a person. Finally, outreach to local, county, state, and federal legislators, emphasizing their responsibility as servants of God to serve their constituents at their respective levels with integrity and godliness. But also presenting to them both the Law and Gospel, guiding them towards reconciliation with God.
Point those who have come to a saving relationship with Christ to a Church that is preaching and teaching the Word of God so they can become solidly grounded in God’s Word and learn doctrine which is primary to the Christian faith.
Effectiveness and Accountability
Personal effectiveness is not evaluated by the number of tracts I hand out, by the number of people I witness to in a specific period of time, the number of miles traveled, or any visible activity. In ministry, results are dependent on how God is working and receptivity of hearts – things we have no control over. Evaluation of my effectiveness will be based on my spending my time and money wisely and prayerfully carrying out God’s will for my life and by the Lord’s blessing on the work.
My philosophy of ministry, and its relationship to my theology along with my methodology.
Sound doctrine is primary and essential to any ministry which is done for the Lord and the foundation upon which the church is built. Sound doctrine is just as essential and important when taking God’s truth to the lost and dying world in evangelism. As Paul stated in Galatians 1:6-7 “I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting the grace of Christ for a different gospel, which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.” Sound doctrine is important because we must ascertain truth in a world of falsehood.
I must presuppose the truth of God’s word from start to finish and should be the foundation upon which my ministry is based upon. In any ministry which I do God’s word cannot be compromised or forsaken.
In everything I do in ministry should be controlled by the truth of God’s word.
I must recognize and submit to the superiority of God’s wisdom as revealed in the pages of Scripture.
Christ must be the ultimate authority over my philosophy, my reasoning, and argumentation.
As Christians, we are called, commissioned and commanded to lay down our lives so that the gospel might be preached to every creature under heaven.
The salvation of a person is a supernatural work and must be done by God. However, God commands and uses us to present to people that they are sinners destine for hell and it is only through what Christ did for us upon the cross that they may be saved.
Mankind and our society have many problems, needs, and diverse suffering. I believe this can be only effectively impacted properly through preaching and presenting of the gospel to the lost and dying world.
Abortion Ministry Outreach
“Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.” (Proverbs 31:8-9)
“Deliver those who are being taken away to death, and those who are staggering to slaughter, oh hold them back.” (Proverbs 24:11)
Several days a week, I am present at the local Abortion Clinic, advocating for our smallest neighbors, the unborn children in the womb fearfully and wonderfully made by God. My purpose is to engage with mothers and those accompanying them, urging them to reconsider the irreversible act of ending a life. It is imperative to not only plead for the child’s life but also to illuminate the gravity of their actions before a Holy and Just God.
Merely advocating for the child’s life without integrating the law and gospel would be inadequate. While a mother may decide to spare her child this time, without understanding the moral and spiritual ramifications, she may repeat the same decision in the future. Hence, my plea encompasses both mercy for the child and contemplation of their eternal standing before God.
Through the framework of the Law and Gospel, I aim to explain the gravity of their actions and the state of their souls. I extend this plea not only to the women but also to those who accompany them, reminding them of their accountability before God and the weight of being complicit in an act deemed morally reprehensible.
Civil Magistrates Ministry: Outreach to Local, County, State, and Federal legislators, emphasizing their responsibility as servants of God to serve their constituents at their respective levels with integrity and godliness. But also presenting to them both the Law and Gospel, guiding them towards reconciliation with God.
Flea Market, Farmers Market, Festivals, Crosswalk or Sidewalk Evangelism, and Colleges and Universities. These are the many venues that I engage in evangelistic outreaches at to reach the lost and dying world with gospel.
